Nutcracker
May 13, 2011
Well, unfortunately, I've been locked out of my blog for awhile. There was a problem with the site when I went back to try and catch up on my blogs - because this daily post is kind of hard to keep up with now that I have to share a computer with a three year old, a seven year old, a husband and work! I have much catching up to do - but many, MANY things to share. We have been having a wonderful Spring. This day, I share one of my daughter at her Nutcracker performance. She is such a talented ballerina.

Poor Tom Turkey
May 11, 2011
I am so looking forward to the photo adventure we are going on this weekend that I am seem to be wanting to save all my posts for that! Last year, around this time, Auggie had a Girl Scout activity out in Middleburg, VA. Abi and I spent the day out there discovering what was around and about in Middleburg. You could easily fall in love with the place. We got lost a couple times found a run down carriage house, some great fields to run in and we found this fabulous farm. I guess it's more popular in the fall when they have a huge corn maize for the kids. There was this sad old turkey there that kept gobbling for his mate that had been eaten by some wild animal the week before...they said all they found were feathers. He was very approachable and we got pretty close...but he just kept gobbling away. Turkey's don't typically mate for life, but these two seemed to be the only two around.

Project J.
May 10, 2011
Now that I've been able to catch up on on my pre-Mother's Day posts (which I had to hold back on because of the surprise element I was trying to capture with the mom's) - this is the latest photography project I'm working on. I'll call it Project J. That shouldn't give to much info - but enough to keep your interest captured. Mine surely was.

Catching up...
May 9, 2011
Almost caught up. I don't know how I let myself get this far behind! I hope you've enjoyed catching up on the latest blogs. Lots going on here - on a daily basis. Trying to get loose ends tied up and wrap up plans for the rest of Spring and the Summer. Anxious to get to all the things that warmer days bring; fish fry's, farm visits and the end of school. It will be nice not to have to rush in the mornings for awhile...unless its to get somewhere pretty and fun!
The garden is almost ready to plant:
The kids each picked something to plant and watch grow. We have
Our dream is to one day live on a farm. The kids think I can handle all the work.

Pinwheel Mix Zinnia's,
Crackerjack Marigold's,
Sweet Corn; peaches and cream hybrid (a bi-colored favorite),
Star of Yelta Morning Glory,
long, thin cayenne pepper (hot),
Melting Sugar Snow Peas (which are doing REALLY well),
Giant Morning Glory's and
red cherry, large fruited tomatoes...
and more seeds SOMEWHERE!
Our dream is to one day live on a farm. The kids think I can handle all the work.
