Pets in the country aren't quite the pampered indoor house ones that we have around here in my home town. Their cats and dogs tend to run or spend most of their time outdoors (which is probably why most of ours are plump and lazy). This one pet belonged to one of my husband's relatives. Auggie (who has never spent much time with dogs) grew pretty attached while we were there visiting. The dog sadly passed away before she got back up to see it (but she thinks it is running free somewhere on the other side of the mountain). R.I.P. Ressie, you were a good friend for our visit.
